Big interest for the seminar “A Term is Born”

More than 200 people were present at the seminar ‘A term is born’ organised on Thursday November 8 by the Terminology Coordination Unit of the European Parliament.

Led by two guests Kerry Maxwell and Rita Temmerman the seminar put into a discussion some important language facts such as how are neologisms created in the 21st century or the function of ambiguity in language. An interesting panel discussion followed on topics like euro jargon, criteria for entering terms in e-dictionaries etc.
